Gregory Haidet is President and a founding principal of Advoca Capital and Advoca Securities, LLC. These organizations provide structured investment banking services, private equity funding and private placement transaction execution. Mr. Haidet has over 30 years of diversified experience in the financial services industry. In addition to founding the Advoca entities, Mr. Haidet founded several financial services providers including a licensed securities broker dealer, a merchant banking organization and a national consumer finance company.
Mr. Haidet focuses on originating, structuring and funding equity and mezzanine investments, senior debt private placements, corporate real estate sale and leasebacks, taxable and tax-exempt fixed and floating rate note financings, first mortgage bonds and commercial mortgage permanent loan placements. Mr. Haidet has participated in over $1.0 billion of complex real estate financing transactions and remains active in structuring credit tenant lease financings, COP’s, recourse and non-recourse lease revenue bonds and other similar structured real estate financings. Mr. Haidet has funded many complex financing structures with sources that included taxable and tax-exempt floating rate notes, tax exempt industrial development revenue bonds, private senior debt placements and commercial bank loans. Mr. Haidet executed real estate lease transactions secured by leases with tenants including the United States General Services Administration, the United States Veterans Administration, Summa Health, IBM, Imation, Walmart Corporation, CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreen, and Eckerds among others.
Mr. Haidet held various senior management positions within the commercial banking and equipment leasing industries. Mr. Haidet’s banking accomplishments include chairing several credit executive committees. Mr. Haidet was also actively involved in executing the restructuring of several consumer, small business lending and corporate banking business units significantly improving business unit profitability and productivity. Mr. Haidet also has experience as the treasurer of a closely-held high technology leasing company.
Mr. Haidet received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration concentrating in Finance from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio and received his Masters Degree in Business Administration from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. Mr. Haidet’s securities qualifications include FINRA Series 7 General Securities, Series 24 Securities Principal, Series 79 Investment Banking and Series 63 registrations.
